  • How do I cancel my appointment?
    We understand that from time to time - and despite our best intentions, things crop up. If you need to change or cancel an appointment, we ask that you give us 24 hours notice. Failure to do this will result in a 50% charge being applied to your account.
  • When do I need to arrive for my appointment?
    Arrivals We ask that you arrive 5 minutes prior to your appointment, in order to check-in. Please be aware that if you arrive late, the time of your appointment will be shortened in consideration of the next customer.
  • Do I need to disclose my medical information?
    Health Conditions Please advise us of any health conditions and any medication you are taking pre-treatment. Please also inform your therapist if you are pregnant, as some of our products contain high quantities of essential oils. Please note English Rose Beauty House Ltd cannot perform certain treatments on women who are in their first trimester (12 weeks) of pregnancy. Ask your therapist for more information.
  • Is there an age restriction policy in place?
    English Rose Age Policy No one under the age of 14 is permitted in our salon without a parent or legal guardians' presence and consent. If you choose to bring a little one along with you to your treatment, please be mindful of noise levels and other customers who are relaxing.
  • Will my treatment cost ever change?
    Pricing Policy Prices and treatments are subject to change at any time at the Director's discretion, and are inclusive of VAT.
  • Salon etiquette
    Etiquette Although we encourage socialising, we politely request that where possible, you refrain from using your mobile when in the salon.

  • How does English Rose use my information? - GDPR Policy
    (General Data Protection Regulation) GDPR Permission As some of you may be aware as of the 25th May 2018 a new EU legislation called GDPR or GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION comes into effect. This effects everyone and every person, you as the consumer have rights to your data and what businesses do with it. To know how myself and the team use your data please click on the below button. In order for us to continue your services at the salon smoothly we need you to check that the information we hold on file is accurate and that you are happy for us to keep it as soon as possible. Without this permission we are forced under the new legislation to delete your client record card and all associated personal data. If we deleted your record card we would not be able to call or email you about appointments, check your favourite colour or last time you had your legs waxed. What's worse, we could not prove that you have had a patch test for LVL, Spray tanning, Lash extensions, Tinting etc... and this could delay future bookings with new patch tests and new record cards having to be completed and recorded. Please help us to ensure we can continue pampering you and meeting your data protection needs. GDPR - how we use your information At English Rose Beauty House Ltd we take your personal data very seriously and that's why we want to let you know why and how we collect and store your personal details in accordance with the new GDPR legislation that comes into effect on 25th May 2018. How we collect your data We collect your data in several ways at English Rose Beauty House Ltd, as detailed below. In the salon using a printed Client consultation form, further details of all information collected can be found below under the heading 'What personal data we collect and why'. We then store your name, address, date of birth, email address, treatment history and any medical alerts on our secure digital cloud based software system - Phorest. Contact Form - This is a contact form on our website for you to contact us with enquiries. We ask for your name, email address and to leave a comment, you will NOT be added to our mailing list for using this. Social media - You may contact us via Facebook messenger, Instagram direct Message or other networks and we will reply to your message but we DO NOT PAY TO OR USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA FROM SOCIAL MEDIA. What personal data we collect and why When arriving for your appointment at the salon we will ask you to complete a paper client consultation form. We require the below personal details from you and have given a legal reason why we need these. Your full name - So we can address you in the salon and ensure all communication is with the correct person. Date of birth - So we can wish you a happy birthday (with a 15% discount birthday email!), to help us distinguish 2 clients with identical names and also for the emergency services in case of an emergency whilst at the salon (Yes it has happened before). Address - To aid the emergency services in case of an emergency whilst at the salon. If any of your loved ones contact us to send you a gift voucher. Email address - To send booking confirmations and 24 hour reminders as well as email invoices of any services you have received. Medical history including operations, diseases, disorders - Medical history is crucial to allow us to perform our treatments safely and adhere to the terms of our insurance. Allergies - To ensure nothing we use during a treatment or around you at the salon can cause you harm, irritation or any other complications and to adhere to the terms of our insurance. Medication - Some medication can be a contra-indication to treatment or react with products we use. It is essential we know details to protect you the client and adhere to our insurance terms. Patch test - This is a skin test we carry out in the salon to test for potential allergic reactions to certain treatments. We keep this on file so all therapists know you are able to have that treatment and in the event of a reaction we know what was used and when. Treatment history - This is so each therapist can see what and how the last therapist carried out a treatment on you to ensure results are consistent amongst all staff. Your Consent - We require you to read and sign a paragraph that allows us to obtain this information lawfully from you and legally store it in accordance with GDPR. Your Contact preferences - If you wish to be on a our mailing list you must opt in otherwise we can not legally send you our newsletters and special offers. Your consent to use treatment photos - Some of our treatments involve before and after photos on salon devices to aid the client experience and proof of progress/treatment. Sometimes we like to use these on social media and need your permission to do so. Mainly but not limited to Nails, Eyelash Extensions, HD Brows and LVL treatments. Your signature - To prove it was you that was present in the salon and that you answered all of the above to the best of your knowledge and honestly. That you agree to English Rose Beauty House Ltd holding you data on our digital online booking system database (Phorest) and on paper form in our secure locked cupboard. How your data is stored Your data is held in digital and paper form at English Rose Beauty House Ltd. Paper copies of consultation forms are stored alphabetically in a locked cupboard that only staff of English Rose Beauty House ltd have access to. Digital information is stored using our Phorest online booking system with cloud based software. This is all password and PIN protected. Only English Rose Beauty House Ltd staff have this password / PIN and certain areas are restricted even further to management only. Electronic devices at English Rose Beauty House Ltd comprise of a Personal Computer to operate Phorest software, and Apple Iphone all of which are password protected. The Iphone contains client treatment photos from previous treatments with client permission and are not used for any marketing purposes other than agreed by the client in their consultation form. Therapists who take pictures of treatments have to delete them immediately after sharing on social media. Photos do not contain personal details or clients full face. We'd like to share some reviews that you send us via our Phorest System. Only a first name is used on Social Media. Here's a link to the Phorest Privacy NoticeHow long we hold your personal data for We will hold your data for up to 7 years unless you ask us otherwise as we appreciate some clients visit us weekly whereas some may come yearly. In order to continue to provide the client with the best service possible we need these records to see exactly what treatments were performed, reactions, likes, dislikes, patch tests, products used etc. Third parties We DO NOT sell or share your personal data with anyone. No other third party including our accountant has any client personal data. Phorest are currently checking and updating all their policies and security in accordance with the GDPR. Your right to access or changed your mind? Your data control officer for English Rose Beauty House Ltd is Hayley Bowles. In the event of a breach of personal data you will be contacted by the above mentioned person within 72 hours of discovery. The data Processor at English Rose Beauty House Ltd is PHOREST. You have the right to be forgotten. If at anytime you no longer wish to be on English Rose Beauty House's database that's no problem, simply send an email to Hayley at info@englishrosebeautyhouse.co.uk and I will personally remove your digital file and then cross shred your paper file and ensure if you opted onto our mailing list that this is also removed. You have the right to access your personal data that English Rose Beauty House Ltd holds and the right to rectification if it is incomplete, incorrect or out of date. You also have the right to Data portability if you wish us to transfer some personal data maybe patch test results if you a moving towns to another salon. You also have the right to object to processing and direct marketing. Your data can remain in one place but not used.
